This is an ideal first baby food from the kitchen of Lynelle Stewart, mother of five and very experienced in baby health and creative foods for youngsters.


1/2 cup sweet potato

1/2 cup pumpkin

1/2 green apple

pinch cinnamon (optional)

Just cover the food with water and boil all ingredients until soft. Let it cool and puree in a high powered blender.

To store, it is a great idea to spoon the ingredients into an ice-cube container and freeze. Then simply use what you need as you need it. Serve warm or cold.
