This is a chemical free general purpose cleaner which is cheap and quite effective on bathroom tiles and sinks.

2/3 cup tap water

1/3 cup white vinegar

1/2 cup lemon juice (fresh squeezed or bought)

1 Tbsp Sodium Bicarbonate

Combine the liquid ingredients and stir in the powder. Place in a bottle with a cap. Shake well before each use and simply wet a scouring sponge with the solution and clean away.

  • NEVER use vinegar on a marble surface. For a marble cleaner, simply leave the vinegar out of this recipe.
  • A spray bottle will not work with the Sodium Bicarbonate powder. You may wish to leave it out and use a spray bottle or just use a normal bottle with a lid.
  • Buff chrome, copper and brass with a paper towel after use.

How it works:

Bicarb Soda – Cleans and deodorizes
Lemon juice – Effective in killing bacteria, cutting through soap scum and neutralises vinegar odour
White Vinegar – Cuts through grease, removes mildew and odors
